Past Projects

Music: “My Friend the Forest” by Nils Frahm

Performance: Westfest 2020

“Notes on the Now” is a project that uses the reflections of ourselves we see in each other to reconcile with our past and present selves. It asks us what we are holding onto and why, and examines how we support each other through these evolutions.

Music: “They Never Say Goodnight “ by Chad Lawson and “nyepi” by Olafur Arnalds

Performance: The Craft (December 2019)

Holding what ground? considers ideas of repetition, exhaustion, and collective tension as we try again and again and again. We try over and over to hold ourselves up, to hold up and support others, but within these dynamics it is sometimes difficult to clearly find stable ground. Sometimes we may not recognize when we’re going through similar experiences in parallel and this piece seeks to understand how we can find and hold on to each other in order to progress through.

Music: “Lullaby for my Insomniac” by James Blake

Performance: 19 Acts of Covid -19 Bravery

“nothing to see here” explores the particular mundanity that we’ve found in certain crises, and works to both acknowledge and resist the capitalist productivity culture that constantly asks us to make, to perform, and to present work that demands to be seen. “nothing to see here” invites you to look, allows you to witness, as we sit together and alone in what we consider to be the comfort of our mundane.

Works in Progress

Music: "Guarding the Invitations" - Julia Kent.

This is rehearsal footage of our piece, "Bear with us". This work in progress is a dance project that explores the possibilities to find moments of support through being intertwined. Through connectedness, through weaving, through sharing, we are using this piece to ask how we can support each other and lift each other while continually occupying each other’s space.
